That was the worst pile of shite I've ever heard. Clarkson insulted Canadians by denigrating much of our history and the accomplishments of our ancestors.

Leftist, multi-cultural crap.

Interesting point of view here.

Assuming that everyone watches CNN, which they don't and Neilson ratings can't back that up. Not everyone watches television especially American television, so unless you meant to say that Second Life has gone mainstream for the CNN television watching segment of the American population, I'm not sure I can agree with that statement. But its a good question to ask, has Second Life gone mainstream? If by mainstream you mean the majority of people in the United States have a registered account even if they aren't using it, thats a false statement. There are 300,000,000 + residents in the US as of late 2006 according to CNN and there are roughly 2.3-2.5 million users of Second Life. Thats not even 1% of the population. So you must have meant that there are a certain number of people that have knowledge about Second Life. Even that statement does not qualify as mainstream. According to Wikipedia,

"Mainstream is, generally, the common current of thought of the majority. It is a term most often applied in the arts (i.e., music, literature, and performance).
This includes:
something that is ordinary or usual;
something that is familiar to the masses;
something that is available to the general public."

So really you must have meant something that is available to the general public because neither 2.5 million users or CNN qualify that statement for the other two possible definitions.

Lets put it to a vote.
